Transfer 3D Scans from MAVO 3D to Windows

If you want to transfer your 3D scan projects from your iPhone Pro or iPad Pro to a Windows computer, there are some straightforward ways to do it.

We’ve had reliable results using LocalSend.

Another option would be to set up a shared folder via Windows Network Sharing.

Method 1: LocalSend

LocalSend is a free, open-source, cross-platform app for sharing files between different devices. It just needs your devices to be on the same wifi network.

Initial setup:

Once set up, how to share files:

  1. Select a 3D scan in MAVO 3D’s browser & tap the export/share button
  2. Select a export file format
  3. Choose export location “Share” and hit “Export”
  4. Wait for the processing to complete
  5. Choose “ LocalSend” from the sharing options
  6. Your project files are ready to be shared, select your nearby device (in this example “Hadsome Peach”)
  7. Accept the files on your Windows computer
