Scanning Highlights 2025

Wrapping up 2025 with some testing highlights that shaped MAVO 3D this year.

Outdoor captures

We did extensive scans to test large-scale capabilities.

One of our biggest scans was captured in Europa-Park in Rust, Germany. This test scan covered the Ireland themed area → 85 minutes of continuous capture.

These tests helped us work on performance handling, different walking patterns, and how MAVO 3D deals with dark shadows and varying natural light conditions.

Indoor captures

We spent many hours capturing in various settings to improve drift and rotation handling, multi-level building support, and loop closure.

Thanks to our pilot users who sent us challenging scans that we could base our improvement work on.

Special mention to our most scanned location in 2025 (and likely 2026): an industrial facility with co-working spaces that’s become our testing ground. It has a huge variety of features, structures, heights, colors, and tricky situations where we push MAVO 3D’s limits.
