Why your co-founder might be your most important decision

Yesterday, Georg and I joined Launch Control and HWZ for their Co-Founder Matchmaking event, and it was a great evening to be part of. Around 50 founders and idea people in one room, with everything from electric skis to smart pet collars on the table.

We were invited to share a bit about our experience building MadVoxel AG together. We are a deep-tech startup based in Winterthur, where we’ve been developing our first product MAVO 3D, an app that turns any iPhone Pro & iPad Pro into a accurate 3D scanning tool for professionals.

Different skills creates a perfect match

We talked honestly about what co-founding actually looks like, why our different backgrounds and personalities are a major strength rather than a friction point, and why the person next to you through the highs and lows matters more than most people expect.

It was energizing to be in a room full of people at the very start of that journey, figuring out who to build with and what to build together.

After the talks, the apéro did its job. A lot of ideas got discussed and contacts exchanged. We’re curious to see which teams emerge from it.
